About
Andres Vasquez Noboa is an Ecuadorian bird guide and author who began his career as a naturalist in the cloud forests around Tandayapa, near Quito, and now leads tours full-time as a senior guide for Tropical Birding Tours. He has personally recorded close to 1,500 bird species inside Ecuador and guides regularly across his home country as well as Peru, Argentina, Brazil, and Belize.
Vasquez has authored several wildlife guidebooks for Ecuador, including a photographic field guide to the birds of Northwest Ecuador, a companion volume for the Amazon, and the broader Wildlife of Ecuador: A Photographic Field Guide to Birds, Mammals, Reptiles, and Amphibians (Princeton University Press). He is a regular guide and ambassador for Tandayapa Bird Lodge in the Choco foothills.
