With a B.A. in Biology from Hamilton College, an M.S. in Ecology from TCU, and published research in environmental toxicology, every print is backed by real science, not guesswork. Every print is generated from ornithological data and habitat analysis specific to your exact address.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change the birds before it prints?
Yes! Right after checkout you'll see your finished print and can swap any of the birds on it for other species — as many as you like, at no extra cost. We hold printing until you're happy, so nothing ships until you give the word.
What birds will appear on my print?
Each print is automatically generated based on the bird species found at your address. This is what makes every print unique — it’s a true reflection of the avian life in your neighborhood, not a generic selection.
What if I just moved to a new address?
No problem! We map the birds based on the location itself, not how long you’ve lived there. The bird species at any given address are determined by the local habitat, not the resident.
What if I don’t recognize the birds on my print?
That’s part of the fun! Every species on your print is clearly labeled with its common name, so your print doubles as a field guide for your own backyard. You might be surprised how many species are right outside your door.
Will all the birds on my print actually be at my location?
Your print features the birds most likely to be seen right at your specific address. If your location doesn’t have many species regularly seen right at your address, the print includes the birds most likely to be seen in close proximity. For example, if your address is in an urban area with little natural habitat, birds may be pulled from nearby parks, green spaces, or coastlines.
I live in a city. Will my print still have lots of birds?
Absolutely. Even dense urban areas host surprising bird diversity. And even if you live in a concrete desert with no natural habitat, your print will display the birds most likely to be found within close proximity. Cities often have green spaces and waterways that attract plenty of species within walking distance.
What’s the difference between the print address and shipping address?
The print address determines which birds appear on your print. The shipping address is where we deliver it. They can be different — which makes this a great gift. Enter the recipient’s address for the print, then your own address for shipping.
What size is the print and what’s it printed on?
Choose between 12" × 18" (our standard size, fits any standard frame) or 24" × 36" (oversized statement size, perfect for a feature wall). Both are printed on premium heavyweight matte paper with archival-quality, fade-resistant inks rated for years of color stability.
Tell me about the frame.
Choose the framed option at checkout and we’ll mount your print in a solid wood frame — available in black, white, or natural. The print sits behind lightweight Perspex glazing (a shatterproof acrylic, so it won’t crack in shipping the way glass can), and every frame arrives ready to hang with the hardware included. It’s the same archival, fade-resistant print inside — just ready for your wall the moment it arrives.
Do you offer returns or refunds?
Because each print is custom-made for your specific address, we can’t accept returns. If your print arrives damaged or there’s a printing issue, we’ll replace it at no cost. If you have questions about the species on your print, we’re happy to help. Reach out at info@adventureed.org.
