Zest for Birds

About

Zest for Birds is the small one-guide operation of Sydney birder and author Andrew Patrick, who runs day tours across the Sydney basin and adjacent New South Wales habitats. With more than 300 species recorded annually in the region, his outings typically turn up 50 to 75 species across forests, woodlands, wetlands, coastal heath and the rocky shoreline platforms north and south of the city. He offers three main day-trip routes — South Sydney, North-west Sydney and North Sydney — that can be combined into multi-day itineraries. Patrick is the author of a dedicated Sydney bird book and a life member of the Cumberland Bird Observers Club, lending the operation strong local credibility.
