About

Yucatan Outdoors is a Tulum-based adventure and nature outfit run by Antonio and Jessica, focused on small-group experiences in the Yucatan Peninsula's wild and protected areas. Their birding programme draws on a regional checklist of more than 540 species (close to half of all birds recorded in Mexico) and targets the Yucatan endemics and Caribbean coastal specialties alongside the spectacular wintering migrants that funnel through the peninsula. Trips are led by local naturalist guides and typically capped at around eight participants. Itineraries combine jungle birding in the surviving Maya forests with kayak-based coastal and wetland trips through the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, and the company runs a wider menu of cenote snorkelling, jungle hiking and cycling for non-birding partners or mixed-interest groups.
