About
Charles Roring is a Sorong-based independent wildlife and birding guide operating the Wildlife Papua / Paradise Bird Watching brand. He has been guiding birders, photographers and naturalists in West Papua and North Sulawesi since the late 2000s and is known for community-based itineraries into the Tambrauw forests, the Klasouw valley and the Raja Ampat lowlands.
In addition to Vogelkop and Raja Ampat birds-of-paradise circuits, Roring runs Tangkoko and Minahasa Highland trips in North Sulawesi. He works as a single-guide operator and supplements his fieldwork with watercolour painting and wildlife illustration.
