About
Vincent Pinto is an Arizona-based wildlife biologist and naturalist guide who has run the Ravens-Way Wild Journeys/Raven's Nest Nature Sanctuary programme out of Patagonia, Arizona since acquiring the property in 1993. He holds a B.S. in Wildlife Biology from the University of Montana and an M.A. in Ethnobotany from Prescott College, with field research experience on Mexican Spotted Owl, Southwestern Willow Flycatcher and Gould's Wild Turkey.
From a 42-acre preserve near Patagonia Lake State Park he offers half-day, full-day and multi-day birding tours, owl prowls and customised itineraries across the Sky Islands, a biological crossroads that hosts more than half of North America's bird species, including 18 hummingbirds, 12 owls and Mexican border specialties such as Elegant Trogon, Gray Hawk and Violet-crowned Hummingbird. Day trips are co-led with his partner Claudia Campos-Pinto.
