Ukrainian Birdwatching Centre

The Ukrainian Birdwatching Centre is a Lviv-based organization founded in 2002 to promote birdwatching as a conservation alternative to hunting. The centre arranges customized birding programmes from its base in western Ukraine, with regular sites including Pohulanka Park, Vynnykivsky Forest, Yanovsky Ponds, the Roztochia Nature Reserve, the Cholginy Ornithological Reserve and the Carpathian Mountains. Guiding is offered in English and Ukrainian, with itineraries tailored to clients' wish lists and lifer targets. The organization has continued operating through the ongoing conflict and remains one of the few in-country contacts for visiting birders interested in western Ukraine's mix of European specialities.
