Trek-Papua

Trek-Papua is a Manokwari-based operator running birding, trekking and Raja Ampat adventure trips out of West Papua. The company has operated since 2009 and is built around long-time Arfak Mountains guide Zeth Wonggor, whose hides at Mount Soyti and the surrounding villages are the staked-out display sites for many of the Vogelkop birds-of-paradise. Flagship itineraries combine the Arfak highlands with the Raja Ampat lowlands at Sorong and Waigeo, targeting both the highland Astrapia/Parotia/Bowerbird suite and the lowland Wilson's, Red and Magnificent Birds-of-Paradise.
