Tideline Tours

Tideline Tours is a small naturalist boat operator based at Sunset Cay Marina on Folly Beach, South Carolina, running guided eco-excursions through the Charleston Lowcountry salt marshes. Their dedicated birding excursion is a 1.5-hour, calm-paced naturalist-led trip focused on observation of marsh and shorebirds while maintaining respectful distance from nesting sites. A centrepiece of the birding programme is Bird Key, a federally protected island near Folly Beach that hosts thousands of nesting seabirds and shorebirds beginning each March. Beyond birding, the company runs dolphin tours, kayak trips, and sunset cruises, but the morning birding excursion is marketed specifically to wildlife travellers and lifelong birders.
