The Wilds

The Wilds is a 9,154-acre conservation centre in Cumberland, Ohio, that runs a small set of guided birding programmes within one of the state's most productive sanctuaries for grassland and migratory species. Their Advanced Birding Tour is a three-hour expert-led outing across reclaimed mine-land habitats; a beginner-oriented option is also offered. Tours operate Wednesday through Sunday from early September through mid-May, with morning departures only. The programme is positioned as part of the wider Wilds visitor experience rather than as a stand-alone tour-operator business, but the birding outings are staffed by The Wilds' own naturalists.
