The Sustainable Birding Company

The Sustainable Birding Company is a Cumbria-based birding tour operator launched in 2016 as a specialist arm of Far and Wild Travel. It positions itself as a pioneering operator for sustainable birding in Africa, running both private tailor-made itineraries and scheduled group departures ranging from short three-day breaks to month-long expeditions. Its portfolio spans more than a dozen African countries including Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, Madagascar and South Africa, alongside Latin American destinations such as Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Costa Rica, with Thailand recently added in Asia. Every trip is carbon-scored and contributes to community and conservation projects in the destinations visited.
