Terra Azul Azores

Terra Azul is an Azores-based ecotourism operator headquartered in Marina Vila Franca do Campo on São Miguel Island, in operation since 2001. Fully licensed for marine wildlife activities, they pair whale watching and dolphin swims with dedicated marine birdwatching outings, all led aboard small vessels with a marine biologist on board. Their birding programme targets the seabird colonies of the central Azores, with summer trips timed to nesting shearwaters, terns and storm-petrels around offshore islets. They also accept scientific charters and photo/video professionals, reflecting a research-friendly orientation rather than a pure tourism focus.
