About

Sultan Birding Tours is a Manado-based Indonesian birding and bird photography operator led by Mohamad Naliko (Monal), with a representative office in Aimas, Sorong, Southwest Papua. The team specialises in bilingual private and small-group tours throughout the Indonesian archipelago, with particular depth in Sulawesi's endemic-rich forests and the bird-of-paradise hotspots of West Papua. Itineraries reach destinations such as Tangkoko Nature Reserve, Dumoga-Bone, Lore Lindu, the Arfak Mountains, Nimbokrang, Biak, Waigeo and the Baliem Valley, alongside trips covering Halmahera, Bali, Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan and the Lesser Sundas. Indonesia hosts more than 1,700 bird species with over 400 endemics, and Sultan focuses its expertise on this national list.
