Sichuan Birding

Sichuan Birding is a small specialist operation run by Sid Francis and local guide Zeng Zhang ("ZZ"), focusing on the bird and mammal hotspots of southwestern China. Operating out of Chengdu, the team has more than a decade of trip-report material on the site documenting Sichuan, Yunnan, and Qinghai itineraries, with a particular reputation for pheasants, high-altitude specialities, and mammal targets such as the snow leopard. The service mixes set departures with bespoke trips for individuals and small groups, and the publicly available trip reports dating back to 2013 give clients a clear sense of expected target species and locations.
