About

Sebastian Ballesteros is a Colombian birding and nature-photography guide based in the foothills of the Santa Marta mountains, operating as Nature Colombia Tours. With more than ten years of experience, he runs customised trips across his home Sierra Nevada and Caribbean lowlands and further afield into the Perijá Mountains, the Chocó Pacific lowlands, the Eastern, Central and Western Andes, the Llanos and Amazonas. His target lists lean heavily on Colombia's regional endemics: Santa Marta Warbler, Santa Marta Parakeet and Santa Marta Woodstar in the Sierra Nevada; Perijá Metaltail and Perijá Brush-Finch on the Venezuelan border; Multicolored Tanager and Gold-ringed Tanager in the Chocó. Tours are run with local English- and French-speaking guides and pitched at small private groups.
