Peter Wairasho

Peter Wairasho is a Nairobi-based Kenyan bird guide who runs the small operator Twinspot Tours and Travel. He works nationwide — Aberdares and Mount Kenya for the highland specialities, Maasai Mara and Tsavo for the savanna birds and mammals, and Kakamega Forest in the west for the Guineo-Congolian forest species — and offers both pure birding itineraries and combined birding-and-mammal safaris. Wairasho is one of the relatively few Kenyan guides with working Japanese alongside English and Swahili, which has made him a regular contact for Japanese birding groups and individual visitors.
