About

Patagonia Wild Watching is a Punta Arenas-based private guiding service run by veterinarian and naturalist guide Cristofer Hodgson, who has been leading birding and nature trips across southern Patagonia since 2013. The operation focuses on private and custom day trips and multi-day itineraries from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales, Torres del Paine and the Austral Fjords. Trips are pitched at small groups and individual travellers wanting a flexible, naturalist-led alternative to the larger Patagonia operators, with a particular emphasis on Magellanic shorebirds, geese, and the seabirds of the Strait of Magellan.
