Officina Noctua

Officina Noctua is an Amarante-based nature tourism outfit founded in 2014 that runs birdwatching trips under the Aves de Amarante brand. Operations centre on the mountain ranges north of the Douro — from Alvão through Marão, Aboboreira and Montemuro — where the team has documented more than 100 species in the immediate Amarante area. Two trip formats are offered: an introductory mountains, rivers and valleys day for general birders, and an advanced itinerary covering the Minho-to-Douro coastal strip aimed at experienced birders chasing specific targets. The company also runs environmental education for school groups and is a registered Portuguese nature tourism provider (RNAAT 1023/2019).
