About
Neblina Forest is an Ecuadorian-owned birding and natural history operator established in 1994, based in Quito and run by a fully South American team of guides. The company started as an Ecuador and Galapagos specialist before expanding to Bolivia (with an office in Santa Cruz) and adding Peru, Brazil, Colombia and Guyana to its catalogue over the following decades.
The operation positions itself as a locally rooted alternative to North American and European outfitters in the Neotropics, with conservation partnerships across more than 5,000 hectares of protected habitat through Ecuadorian NGOs. Trips range from set-departure tours of classic circuits, including a recurring Galapagos Thanksgiving departure aimed at Darwin's finches and the islands' endemics, to custom itineraries that combine birding with broader natural history and culture.
