About
Mexican Birding is a small Puerto Vallarta-Nayarit outfit founded in 2018 by tour leader Antonio Robles to focus on the western Mexico endemic belt around San Blas and Banderas Bay. The company runs day trips and short circuits that span the coastal mangroves of San Blas, the Sierra de Vallejo behind Sayulita and San Pancho, and the pine-oak around San Sebastian del Oeste.
A typical week stitches together Rancho Primavera in southern Jalisco for the dry-forest endemics with the foothills behind Puerto Vallarta and an extension to San Blas itself, and the operator publishes a quick guide highlighting roughly 150 species and 28 Mexican endemics within reach. Tours are bilingual and oriented toward small groups.
