METS Travel & Tours (Movement for Eco-Tourism in Suriname) is a Paramaribo-based operator that runs jungle lodges and nature itineraries across Suriname's portion of the Guiana Shield. While its programme is general nature and ecotourism rather than birding-only, the lodges at Brownsberg, Raleighvallen and the upper Kabalebo deliver access to some of the least-disturbed tropical forest in northern South America, a region that consistently appears on Neotropical birders' bucket lists. Guides operate in English and Dutch and the company has long-standing relationships with local Maroon and Indigenous communities at each lodge.
