About

Kimberley Birdwatching Pty Ltd is owner-operated by George Swann, who has lived in Broome, Western Australia, since 1989 and established the company in 1993. Born in England, Swann emigrated to Australia in 1984 and has built a reputation as one of the Kimberley's most experienced ornithological guides, with particular expertise in the rare, endangered and poorly known species of the region. The operation runs full-day trips around Broome and Roebuck Bay (a Ramsar-listed shorebird site of global importance) and longer overnight expeditions of up to 21 days through the Mitchell Plateau and West Kimberley. Swann also charters dedicated seabird-island trips to Ashmore Reef, Adele Island and the Lacepede Islands. Group sizes are kept to a minimum of two and maximum of six.
