About
Kagera Safaris is a Kampala-based East African tour operator with a strong birding program centered on Rwanda's Albertine Rift endemics. Their guides lead trips through Nyungwe, Akagera, Volcanoes and Gishwati-Mukura national parks, combining classic gorilla trekking with itineraries built around Rwanda's roster of over 700 species.
Beyond Rwanda the company runs cross-border birding circuits through Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Congo and Burundi, with set departures such as a 12-day Rwanda birding and gorilla combination. Membership in multiple regional tourism associations and an active inquiry desk indicate an established operation rather than a one-guide outfit.
