Isaac Kilusu

Isaac Kilusu is a Tanzanian bird guide based in Arusha and the founder of Village Weaver Birding. He is widely cited as the top-ranked eBirder in Tanzania, with a deep familiarity with vocalisations and habitat use across the country's northern circuit and Eastern Arc forests. Kilusu guides both solo and through his small company, handling everything from one-day private outings around Arusha and Kilimanjaro to multi-week target-species itineraries. He is an active participant in citizen-science recording — submitting checklists to eBird and BirdLasser — and contributes that fieldwork back into the planning of his client tours, which is uncommon among Tanzanian guides who came up primarily through general safari work.
