About

India Bird Watching is the dedicated birding vertical of Nature Safari India Pvt. Ltd., a wildlife travel company founded in 2000 and based in Gurugram, Haryana. The parent company, run by Sharad Vats, has roughly three decades of experience moving small groups through India's tiger reserves; the birding arm extends that operation to cover the Indian subcontinent's roughly 1,300 species. Its catalogue spans the Central Indian highlands (Kanha, Pench, Bandhavgarh), the eastern wetlands (Sundarbans, Kaziranga, Nameri), the classic north Indian circuits around Corbett and Bharatpur, and the Western Ghats in the south. Specialist trips include winter trips to Khichan in Rajasthan for Demoiselle Crane congregations and Chambal trips for Indian Skimmer. India Bird Watching tends to package birding alongside mammal-watching, leaning on the parent company's tiger-reserve infrastructure and its in-house naturalists.
