About
Iberian Wildlife Tours is a network of British natural history tour leaders who have lived in their respective regions of Spain and Portugal for decades, leading wildlife and birdwatching holidays across Iberia since 1989. The team works both with established wildlife tour companies and on a tailor-made basis for independent groups, drawing on long resident knowledge of the local fauna and flora.
Guides cover an unusually broad geographic spread including the Spanish Pyrenees and the Belchite steppes in Aragon, the Picos de Europa in Cantabria (where naturalist and Picos guidebook author Teresa Farino has been based since 1986), Catalonia, Castilla y Leon, the La Mancha humeda wetlands and the paramos and gorges of Segovia, Soria and Guadalajara, plus Portugal. Their tours integrate birds with butterflies, dragonflies and wildflowers, suiting visitors who want a fuller Iberian natural history experience.
