Tour guideSoloRegional

About

Guilherme "Gui" Battistuzzo is a São Paulo-based biologist who has been studying Brazilian birds since 2006 through inventories, research and guiding. He cut his teeth as a resident guide at Cristalino Lodge in southern Amazonia and in the Pantanal before refocusing his work on the highly endangered Atlantic Forest, where he runs custom itineraries through São Paulo's Intervales, Serra do Mar and Cantareira sites as well as Itatiaia and REGUA in Rio de Janeiro state. Battistuzzo also leads bespoke trips north to Serra do Cipó and Serra da Canastra in Minas Gerais and west to the Pantanal and southern Amazon. He is associated with the Pantanal Bird Club and has been recommended by visiting birders as both a strong field guide and pleasant travelling companion.
