Gary Burns - UAE Birding

Gary Burns is a South African-born birder, mammal enthusiast and herpetologist who has lived in Dubai since 2007. As of early 2024 he is again offering full-time guiding across the United Arab Emirates, with deep familiarity of the country's deserts, mountains and coastal habitats. His specialty is the owls of the UAE, and clients can book half- or full-day outings (around USD 100 per hour for small groups) focused on nocturnal species, desert birds, mammals and reptiles. He is an active eBirder and wildlife photographer, well-placed to put visiting birders onto regional scarcities and Arabian endemics.
