About

Fuerteventura Bird Watch is a solo guiding operation run by British naturalist Derek Bradbury, based on the Canary Island of Fuerteventura and originally established as a long-running volunteer conservation and monitoring project tracking the impact of tourism on the island's indigenous and migratory birds. Guided outings target the Canary Island endemics and specialities for which Fuerteventura is renowned, including Houbara Bustard, Fuerteventura Stonechat, Cream-coloured Courser, Black-bellied Sandgrouse and Trumpeter Finch, as well as migration on the volcanic plains, wetlands and coastal stops of the eastern Canaries.
