About
Flevo Birdwatching is a small Dutch guiding operation specialising in the Oostvaardersplassen wetland reserve in Flevoland, one of Europe's most important rewilded landscapes and a magnet for breeding and migratory waterbirds. Guided full-day and half-day outings of four to eight hours cover the reserve's hides, dykes and surrounding polders.
The guide focuses on the local highlights for visiting birders, including White-tailed Eagle, Bearded Reedling, Bluethroat, Spoonbill and the area's enormous geese and duck congregations, with English-language interpretation aimed at international visitors. Trips can be combined with sites elsewhere in Flevoland and the IJsselmeer fringe.
