About
Fernando 'Pocho' Cabral is a Misiones-born birding guide based in the Iguazú region of northeastern Argentina. He holds Argentina's National Tour Guide credential (MP G384) and has been guiding professionally since around 2010 after attending birding workshops and assisting on official bird surveys in the area.
Pocho's offerings concentrate on the roughly 450 species recorded around Iguazú National Park. Signature trips include the Macuco Trail, Route 101, Uruguaí Provincial Park, dedicated owling outings covering up to a dozen owl species, and a small hummingbird garden in Iguazú City. He continues to participate in advanced birding courses and citizen-science projects, guiding in both Spanish and English.
