Drake Bay Birdwatching

Drake Bay Birdwatching is a one-guide operation run by Walter A. Sanchez, a resident certified naturalist guide based in Drake Bay on the Osa Peninsula. He is registered on Corcovado National Park's official guide list, certified by the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT), and has more than nine years of professional birding-guide experience as of 2026. Services focus on the Osa Peninsula and Corcovado, with day tours, multi-day packages, and custom itineraries elsewhere in Costa Rica on request. The Osa is one of the country's strongholds for Pacific-slope endemics and large parrots, including Scarlet Macaw and several southern-Pacific specialties.
