Dawit Berhane

Dawit Berhane is an Asmara-based naturalist who positions himself as Eritrea's most experienced all-round guide for birds, wildflowers, hiking, and trekking. He works through the in-country operator Visit Eritrea (eritreavisit.com) and customizes itineraries from short 2–5 hour outings to full-day excursions of up to 30 km. His birding offering centers on the spring and autumn migration windows through the Horn of Africa, complemented by an eight-month wildflower season that shifts with elevation.
