Dantes Liebenberg (Kalahari Tours & Travel)

Dantes Liebenberg is a Kalahari-based birding and wildlife guide who has lived in the Northern Cape his entire life and started leading tours in 1994. Operating through his family company Kalahari Tours & Travel out of Upington, he reports having identified over 550 southern African bird species in the field and runs both short Kalahari extensions and 13-day national-park circuits taking in Pilanesberg, Mokala, Augrabies, Witsand and the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. Liebenberg is one of the few specialist guides actually based in Kalahari country rather than visiting from the coast, which makes him a frequent referral for international tour companies running custom itineraries through the Northern Cape.
