Daniel Edelstein Birding Tours

Daniel Edelstein is a Certified Wildlife Biologist with more than 25 years of guiding experience across Northern California. Based in Marin County, he leads tours through the San Francisco Bay Area, Sonoma County (including Bodega Bay), and Point Reyes National Seashore — the latter a vagrant magnet with 490+ documented species. His specialty is wood-warblers and migration, and his trips lean heavily on 'birding by ear' instruction for both beginner and advanced groups. Outside the guiding business he runs an environmental consulting practice (since 1998) and teaches college-level ornithology, plus an annual Sierra Nevada birding program.
