About
Casper Badenhorst Birding and Wildlife Safaris is a small-team specialist guiding outfit based in Hoedspruit (with a White River, Mpumalanga office) in South Africa's Limpopo province. Founded and led by Casper Badenhorst, a professional bird and nature guide who grew up near Dullstroom and has been birding since the age of ten, the company has been running small-group, custom, and packaged birding, wildlife and photographic safaris since 2004.
Their core territory is the rich Lowveld–Limpopo corridor: the Kruger National Park, the Blyde River Canyon, the Panorama Route, Mariepskop's Afromontane forests, and the Magoebaskloof forests, all within day-trip distance of Hoedspruit. Casper also guides further afield across Southern Africa (Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia) and runs international departures to Uganda, Ghana, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador and Thailand. He guides freelance for a number of larger Southern African bird tour operators in addition to running his own trips.
