About
The Cambodia Bird Guide Association is a Siem Reap-based NGO founded in December 2016 that provides conservation-focused birding and natural-heritage tours across Cambodia, with extension trips into neighboring Laos. The association works closely with Cambodian conservation sites and emphasizes eco-friendly operations, channeling tour income back into community and habitat protection.
Flagship Cambodia itineraries target the country's globally important grassland and forest species including White-shouldered Ibis, Cambodian Laughingthrush, and Coral-billed Ground Cuckoo. Their Laos extension focuses on the limestone karst country of Khammouane Province, targeting the recently described Bare-faced Bulbul together with Sooty Babbler and Limestone Leaf Warbler.
Guides are Cambodian birders and ornithologists working in English and Mandarin, making this one of the few in-country operators offering structured access to both Cambodia's full endemic suite and Laos's flagship karst birds.
