Birdwatching Holland

About

Birdwatching Holland is the private guiding operation of Emile Dirks, an Amsterdam-based birder who leads day trips through the marshes, wetlands and coastal zones reachable within ninety minutes of the city. He pitches the service at all experience levels, from first-timers wanting an introduction to Western Palearctic birding to seasoned listers chasing regional specialties. The schedule is built around the seasonal rhythms of the Dutch lowlands — spring migration from March bringing waders and warblers up from Africa and southern Europe, autumn raptor passage, and winter goose and duck congregations on the polders. Tours are offered in English and tailored to clients' birding goals.
