About
Birdwatching Chile is a Chilean operator devoted exclusively to birding and wildlife trips within the country, running itineraries that stretch from the Atacama Desert in the north through central Chile and the Andes down to the fjords and steppes of Patagonia. They also run dedicated pelagic departures into the Humboldt Current and a multi-day Rapa Nui (Easter Island) seabird programme.
The team works across some of South America's most varied habitats — from coastal Pacific seabird colonies and high-altitude bogs to Nothofagus forests — and offers both fixed-departure group tours and tailor-made itineraries. The Easter Island programme is a particular speciality, targeting up to six Pterodroma gadfly petrels on the offshore motus together with introduced landbirds such as Chilean Tinamou.
