About

Birds of Poole Harbour is a Dorset-based registered charity (No. 1152615) that runs the Poole Harbour Birdboats programme alongside ringing demonstrations, training courses and other public engagement events around one of the UK's most important coastal wetlands. Poole Harbour holds internationally significant wintering populations of waders and waterfowl, including one of the country's largest Pied Avocet flocks and gatherings of up to 20 Eurasian Spoonbill over the Brownsea Lagoon. Boat-based tours offer close approaches to feeding and roosting birds along with regular sightings of Peregrine Falcon and harbour seals.
