About

Birds by BIJS is the small-group bird tour operation of Benny Isaac Jacobs-Schwartz (BIJS), a US-based naturalist guide running birding itineraries through Ecuador. Trips concentrate on the country's richest corridors: the Northwest Andes, the eastern Andean foothills, and the Amazon lowlands around Yasuní National Park. The outfit deliberately keeps groups small and the pace digestible, pairing visiting birders with local Ecuadorian co-guides on the ground. Tours target the spectacular hummingbird and tanager diversity of the cloud forests as well as Amazon mixed flocks and antbirds.
