About
Birds Argentina is a Buenos Aires-based birding and natural-history operator directed by Marcelo Gavensky, a guide who first launched the company as Birding Buenos Aires in 2010 before broadening it into a full-country outfit and a sister mammal-watching brand. The team runs custom and set-departure tours across all of Argentina's major ecoregions, from the Pampas and Parana Delta to the Atlantic Forest of Misiones, the Yungas and Puna of the Northwest, and the steppes and seabird coasts of Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego.
Gavensky has a research background in the Lower Parana corridor and is a regular guide for high-profile international birders, having led trips for Noah Strycker during his 2015 Worldwide Big Year and for field-guide author David Sibley. The roster also includes local guides Laura Dodyk and Andres de Miguel, plus a Peru-based photo specialist for cross-border itineraries.
