Birds and Birding Madagascar

Birds and Birding Madagascar is the dedicated birding brand of Antananarivo-based Cactus Tours Madagascar (founded 1998), a Destination Management Company with more than two decades of operations across the island. The team of Malagasy ornithologists and expert birder-guides made international news in late 2024 when they rediscovered the Dusky Tetraka, one of the world's ten most-wanted lost birds. They run bespoke itineraries linking the eastern rainforests, western dry deciduous forests, the southern spiny bush, and the Masoala Peninsula.
