Birding With Me

Birding With Me is a Montevideo-based outfit dedicated exclusively to birding in Uruguay, a compact country whose Guarani name translates as 'river of colourful birds.' The operator markets the country's surprising diversity — roughly 50% of Argentina's species and 25% of Brazil's, recorded over a comparatively small and easily traversed territory — and has compiled trip lists exceeding 450 species. Products range from short single-day outings out of Montevideo and Punta del Este to a 7-day Eastern Wetlands & Ravines tour, a 7-day Colorful Birds tour through the western departments, and a 15-day comprehensive countrywide circuit. Tours are run primarily in Spanish with Portuguese available in the border regions and English handling for international clients.
