Birding Tours Morocco

Birding Tours Morocco is a Merzouga-based outfit founded in 2016 by Otman Elhourchemt, a Berber guide who grew up in the Erg Chebbi dunes of southeastern Morocco and spent years leading desert excursions before launching his own birding company. The operation centres on the Sahara — Merzouga, the Erg Chebbi and surrounding stony hamadas — but extends across the Atlas Mountains and along the Atlantic coast up to Casablanca and Rabat. Elhourchemt offers day excursions and longer 2–15 day private itineraries, working with small groups using private transfers and local accommodations. Tour design is tailor-made around clients' interests and budgets, with the strongest expertise in desert and migratory specialties of southern Morocco.
