About

Birding North Peru, also operating as Peru Tres Nortes, runs scheduled small-group tours of one to three weeks across the bird-rich north of Peru. Itineraries thread together lowland rainforest, tropical dry forest, cloud forest, high Andean elfin forest, and Pacific coastal deserts — covering some 48 documented birding hotspots in a region that holds a remarkable density of endemics. The team is led by Carl and Carol Davies along with local guides Detlef and Henry, and the company holds memberships in the Neotropical Bird Club, APTAE, and CONAVE. Trips target signature northern Peruvian species such as Marvelous Spatuletail, Scarlet-banded Barbet, White-winged Guan, and the elusive Long-whiskered Owlet.
