About
Birding Los Cabos is a Baja California Sur outfit operating since the late 1990s out of the Cabo region, certified by the Mexican Ministry of Tourism and partnered with national-park naturalists. It works the southern Cape District, where the only endemics of the Baja Peninsula concentrate.
The house seven-endemics-in-seven-days circuit runs from sea-level mangroves through the Sierra de la Laguna pine-oak to target the full Cape endemic set: Xantus's Hummingbird, Cape Pygmy-Owl, Belding's Yellowthroat, Gray Thrasher, Baird's Junco and San Lucas Robin, with Yellow-footed Gull along the Sea of Cortez. Groups are capped at eight participants and the company also runs add-on trips north to Loreto and even out to Copper Canyon, Oaxaca and the Yucatan.
