About
Birding Languedoc is a non-profit wildlife-tour outfit based in the village of Feuilla in Occitanie, southern France, operated under the Contrées Sauvages association. The team specialises in small-group, English-language birding in the Languedoc, a stretch of Mediterranean coastline, garrigue and wetland that sits squarely on the Western Mediterranean migration flyway.
Programmes range from day trips to multi-day residential tours across winter, spring and autumn, plus private guiding and specialty trips for butterflies, orchids and wildflowers. The organisation channels 100% of its profits into local wildlife projects, and the region's 350-plus species include Golden Eagle, Greater Flamingo, European Roller, Golden Oriole and a steady passage of migrant raptors and storks.
