About

Birding Botswana is a specialist birding operation run by Richard Randall, a naturalist with more than 40 years of birding experience in southern Africa. Randall's first birding trip in Botswana was in 1977, and he has lived permanently in the country since 1986, building deep first-hand knowledge of its sites, lodges, and logistics. Based in Maun, the operation focuses exclusively on dedicated birders rather than general game-viewing tourists, offering tailor-made itineraries through the Okavango Delta, Chobe, and Linyanti regions. Trips can be combined with wider safari activities, but the emphasis is on getting birders to the species and habitats they specifically want to see.
