About
Birding Barbados is a small Bajan-owned guiding outfit run by Damian Edghill together with Ram Edghill, drawing on a family and island shorebirding tradition that stretches back roughly three and a half centuries. Their guides describe at least 40 years of personal shorebirding experience on Barbados, which sits on the Atlantic flyway and is one of the best Caribbean sites for migrating waders.
Tours cover the island's wetlands, marshes and shorebird ponds, with year-round shorebird possibilities supplemented by waterfowl and Caribbean songbirds. Programmes include traditional Bajan shorebird-whistling demonstrations and blended trips that combine birding with beaches and local cuisine.
